The nicest and by far most reasonably priced hotel in KL is the Corus Hotel. It is a 4 star hotel and their rooms start at just 169MYR. The hotel was fabulous, and the service was great. The have a wonderful breakfast buffet too! They are also just across the street from the Petronas towers, and a block from the MRT. You will miss out and waste money if you stay anywhere else!

Harris, I've looked at your spreadsheet and am amazed at the effort you have put in to find a hotel. You must be a Virgo!
If price is a big consideration then you should make a reaservation at the most reasonably priced.
Just ensure it has all the features you require for a comfortable stay.
And that it is located fairly close to where you want to be. Otherwise, transportation costs will chew up any savings you might make on the hotel choice.

They just had a recent upgrade on all of their guest rooms and i've stay in their Deluxe room..it was awesome and affordable too!
Langkawi-
Sunset Beach Resort

I just returned back from Langkawi last week and stayed in their 'Sunset 2' ( A room category for 2 double beds )..and its the best!! I 've paid RM260.00 and had a marvellous time there..if i ever go to Langkawi..i would definitely come back to this boutique resort.!!
Tips: It always the best to call and book directly with the hotel you wanted to stay..you can get much..much cheaper rates compare to travel agents and website!!! cheers!

i stay one in awana porta malai, it good and nice place to stay. you can even see star cuise on some day, it their port.
too bad it does not have a beach. otherwise it will be perfect!
