Well that's currently unknown. But, whoever did it is completely crazy. Cricket is just a game. Pakistan lost to Ireland so what? They won a lot of games against big teams like Australia, South Africa, England, India etc. and losing is not a shame. They tried their best but couldn't win the match.
And this is just a loss, they have many WC to play in. I never thought that the world would be so cheap that they would kill a person for just one loss. They take life tooo seriously. They would kill an old man just for one defeat.
Let's just hope that the man/men who murdered Woolmer rots in HELL. Anyways, let's all just pray for Bob Woolmer.

I would say the Paki Intelligence on the behest of the General Musharaff might have killed him to distract the Pak public from the domestic troubles Mush is facing at home.
When monica trouble hit the fan Clinton fired missiles into Afghanistan. Cricket is very popular in Pak and that is a good distration strategy if you want trouble to simmer down.

Some beilieve, he have been killed by unknown pakistani fans, after the humiliating performance shown by pakistanis in the world cup
Some beilieve he died due to stress by taking alcohol and drugs.
