dont know if this makes sense but when you run cookies and they all come up can you change them from text to the original format.I seem to have sites ive never been to,is it possible to determine dates, times etc? thanx

The reason you are seeing cookies from sites that you didn't seem to have visited is simple. A visit to almost any website will pull content from many different servers in addition to the URL of the website itself.

Most (not all) of these additional servers are delivering advertising to you and most will also set a cookie on your computer.

A visit to a single site can land you a dozen or more different, distinct cookies.

This is normal. Nothing to worry about!

You can use Winpatrol to manage your cookies, block ones you don't want and keep others.

Web sites may set cookies with names that have nothing to do with the site, I think they get paid a small amount for it?

Why not just set your computer to delete all cookies or not to allow them?

to get on to different websites or programes u have to delete the cookies
