What to eat in Bugis and Chinatown in Singapore?

Some suggestions please. not expensive stuff or expensive restaurant. Good foods or drinks.

I only know bugis, since i am working there. You can try out the wanton mee opps bugis junction, just behind the north bridge road bus stop. It's yummy. around $3

Then there's the fish slice soup shop near the tian tian streamboat. Very famous, just avoid peak hours. Around $5

Then there's the thai-chinese coffeshop at liang seah street
Depends on what you order. Usually around $8++ per person.

and duck rice coffeeshop at the corner of that street again. $4++ Love the kway chap.

Then the halal chicken rice, opp the duck rice coffeeshop, always see every table will have at least one plate of it. $3. I just find it's ok, I prefer the duck rice and the kway chap.

And finally the minced pork noodle coffeeshop next to the chicken rice coffeeshop. Friends' fav supper place. $3

try several and be adventurous as they are not expensive. go for noodle dishes and rice-toppings. there's chili crabs, prawns and dumplings. take the tea, they go well. savor to your heart's content. point at what you saw and might like. curry is good and so are sweet sour sauces. forget congee or porridge even if they seem like safe recourses as it won't allow much to enjoy. fresh fruit juice abound. don't rush, allow lotsa time and in that way you practically will get yourself a lauriat smorgasbord well within s$10
