I went on a PCOS diet in September of last year. & lost 30 pounds in 3 months before I conceived. I stayed away from all sugars. Splenda is ok. I didn't eat any white products like your breads, rice, potatoes etc. I ate alot of veggies, wheat products and lots of water & took a women's day multi vitamin. Best of luck to you.

Both are healthy as long as you do a low carb and not a no carb diet. I read an interesting article relating carbs and PCOS. Here's the link if you're interested. Good luck.

One that works well for you and that you feel good on-eating heatlhy isn't a one size fits all. Many people suggest low carb for PCOSers, but that doesn't work well for everyone-I felt miserable on low carb, but I feel great on low g/i, which is similar. It may take some experimenting to find what works for you, but you may want to meet with a nutritionist to come up with a health eating plan that suits your food preferences, lifestyle, and eating habits and that meets the dietary requirements and suggestions for women with PCOS.

It depends on the person. For me, I try to stick to a diet that has good carbs, such as whole wheat bread. Also, I try to eat fruits and vegetables. What I try to stay away from are things high in simple sugars, such as white bread, sugary sodas, candies, cookies... things like that.
Also, I try to limit my portions, and do the sensible thing with diet and exercise.
If diet alone isn't helping, you could see a specialist and try medications as well. Lots of pcos suffers take metformin to help them with insulin resistance.
Good luck :)

See your gynecologist and get recommendations there. Some women go on meds. to help. However, you should maybe see a nutritionist or dietician.
