When purchasing wedding garters they usually come in a set of two. One is a little more elaborate than the other. Which do you throw?

Easy one, traditionally you keep the nicer one, for sentiment, pass it along to your daughter, niece, what ever you choose. the less expensive one you throw.

You throw the one that is not as fancy as the other one. Or you could just throw the one that you like. Usually the garter that you throw is the cheap-looking one that you are more than willing to get rid of.

Keep the fancy one and throw the plain one...you'll probably hang on to the garter longer than the person who catches it.
