How to connect two Hardrives on one computer?

Hi
I have two western digital SATA hardrives and I have connected both on motherboard. My system properties hardwrae did read second drive but not OS. My OS is XP Pro. I have eight pins for setting which pin do I use. Thank you

No need to set pins on SATA drives. Did you do a fresh install of XP Pro? It may help, I had some problems after I installed 2nd hard drive at a later date, even though I set it up to be RAID ready. Did a re-install and everything was good.

SATA drives do not require pin settings.
BOOT into your BIOS, press delete key as system start to boot.
Go to the tab BOOT device
set first boot device to your disk with XP
Second device to CD/DVD drive
save & exit.

To place Active@ KillDisk Pro onto a floppy disk type the following at the command prompt:
COPY G:\KILLDISK.EXE A:
COPY G:\DOS4GW.EXE A:
The above assumes that the G:\ drive is the bootable CD-ROM drive and the A:\ drive is the floppy disk drive.
DOS4GW.EXE is a required file for Active@ KillDisk, Active@ UNERASER and Active@ Disk Image.

If the hard drive is IDE, you must set the jumpers. One as master and One as slave.

Same for SATA. One must be master and one slave.

Look on the hard drive ( face) and there should be directions as to set the jumpers.

Look on the hard drive itself. There is usually a "pin map" that shows what is master, slave, etc. It is different for each make and model.
