Buy Aluminum Case, best for keeping PC cool, heat destroys electronics. Decide which CPU you want, Intel or AMD! INTEL Dual Core is the fastest, AMD is good price to performance!
Do not buy a cheap power supply, at least $70.00 or more!
Go to a web site for computer parts, build your computer in a word document. Copy and paste each component, web page, price and description until you have all the parts for your system. Then do it again at a different site!
This helps with price, you end up knowing exactly what you want to buy and costs!

1. Your budget. For economical solution go for AMD, and lowever processor, and more popular accessories, than high-end.
2. Your use. Gaming needs more power but if you play normal and low end games then you need less power. If you need for office work only then it needs very low end config.
Based on form the following list:
1. Processor (Intel/AMD. Dual core/ Single core)
2. Motherboard (Intel/ASUS/Gigabyte/MSI...)
3. HDD (80/120/200GB..5400/7200 rpm..brand)
4. Monitor (CRT/FLAT...15/17/19in..)
5. DVD (recorder/reader/Combo...speed..)
and likewise for soundcard, keyboard, speakers, mouse, .....
