Sorry but plain and simply YES & NO as 3 don't like it when you put their sim cards in non 3g phones. I'm not saying you can't because technically you can as the calls are then made on 2g (non 3g mode) but 3 gets wise to that and eventually will stop you from making or recieving phone calls from the simcard.

It will work but not properly. Because the 6230 is a 2.5g, and the sim is 3g. So it will only work in 2.5g. It might even display the oprerator as orange.(because 3 use orange's transmitters in 2.5g mode)

only if its unlocked, if u buy the phone sim free it will be ready for you to put ur sim in
