Is the style you're talking about in fashion? If it is, then media is the thing to blame. American people, as I have observed, have been so materialistic. They have been largely infuenced by media. The media feeds its viewers messages that lure people out of the good way. They might say, "C'mon buy this and you'll be beautiful"..
I mean, c'mon, those Americans (and other people as well) must realize that the media shouldn't be the one telling them what's beautiful . It should be themselves who's telling them so.
Media is a very powerful medium. It just so sad that it's largely being used for sheer materialism.

I know what you mean. I'm always bowled over at the sight of chavettes wearing tops that match their tracky bottoms. It just screams style. Especially with a Croydon facelift. So chic it hurts.

cos our lives are so depressing otherwise!
(high taxes, minimum wage jobs meaning we work ourselves into debt, watching price differences in the usa be cheaper than in the uk and just have to put up with it, e.g the cost of an Ipod, the cost of music per track...) we gotta live for something!!
