Just watched the series about sunken ships. We can approach history for knowledge, of course, but there is a feeling in it. Is it dread that things never change for human condition? Is it saddness for people dead thousands of years, who died tragically, and why does this matter to us? Everyone who lived more than 120 years ago is dead, why does the violence of anyone in history affect us?
Old man asking.

Thank you people. You're all great. I worked with young humans, and I always know they tell Truth. More later.

because we realise that history is shaped by war and pain and we know that that misery was largely in vain, as too few people study history. we are doomed to repeat our mistakes over and over. we have let history be consigned to antiquity instead of making it a handbook for happy living.

it also pains me when i see history written, as it always is, by the victors and the silent perished millions silenced further.

Old man, I like you a lot. I also have a veritable passion for history even though it does hurt to re-live it at almost every corner. Thanks to the truth of the Scriptures that make it possible for us to understand the real big picture of it all and once we realize just how true the Creator's words really are, that we are indeed created in His image, that He is love personified, that it is not human to see violence and death and everything that God in his wisdom felt obligated to allow, so that never again in the history of man or angels would such history ever need to repeat itself for nothing. After all we've seen, heard, witnessed and lived through, we never again will be justified in any way should any of us, on earth or above, ever try the ways of Satan, who will soon be in his Abyss with the rest of the demons who abandoned their heavenly abode to come and have sex with the beautiful women on earth before the flood, when they took bodies of men and bodies of horses with heads of men, and all sorts of things that people today think of as "legends" (even the flood), who had sons from these relationships called "nephilims", who were giants on the earth, who all drowned in the flood but the angels returned to being "spirits" but could no longer have the powers they once had and for that they truly are mad... but the point is this...
When it's over, (a whole 6,000 years of it to mankind but only 6 days to God), then we will know what it's like to have ever-lasting life in the promised paradise that God had truly intended for us all along. Just because we encountered a little "crap" along the way, it's far from over. As a matter of fact, considering how young we have been permitted to go to sleep in death, until now, compared to the prophets of old who lived to be 969 years old like Methuselah at Genesis 5:25; Adam and Eve, 935, etc., God in his mercy permitted us to have the sleep of the righteous, as it were, so young, that even if it was a total of 6,000 years that mankind suffered with Satan's way of doing things, it wasn't that long to each one of us individually. What comes next will be so wonderfully pleasant and refreshing for us that whatever the emotional effects negatively touched us in any way today will be a thing of the past that won't even come up to our hearts or minds anymore. "The former things have passed away", says God as though it was already a done deal. That's because every word coming out of the bible is his word and will all come true. I hope this helps you a bit. I know you will get to see and enjoy the real life soon. And then, every day, you'll find your body growing younger and younger and younger until it is absolutely more perfect than you've ever had it or have ever imagined it, with flesh even fresher and smoother than a new-born's. So enjoy being an old man now that you can 'cause for the rest of etenity, you will be very young... That's why I quit counting my age at 33 and still look like 23... (ok maybe 40, naw!!!!!!) LOL (in case you don't know this little LOL means laughing out loud!!!
Yes, it's there too, in your bible... Have a great day sir. It was a pleasure speaking with you. Teri

I guess history is taught to tell us tales of the past with a hope in mind not to repeat the horrible ones but humans seldom learn their lessons from the past and would like to repeat those mistakes to get kicks.........
