Definitely widescreen.
You miss half the movie on full screen.

Widescreen all the way! I'd rather see the movie it was shown in movie theaters! Besides with "Full Screen" you lose half of the picture! If you buy "Full Screen" that the format they use when they show movies on TV! You also lose 50% or more of the movie. With "Full Screen" you cut out people, characters, special effects etc..

No true movie lover prefers fullscreen.

If you were to see a movie in a theater, and they had a big black curtain covering up half the screen, you would complain and demand your money back. Yet many people pay for exactly this same experience by buying fullscreen DVDs.

Widescreen is the only way to go for people who truly love films.

Widescreen. if you get full screen they cut out the sides because of format. (your TV is a square and the movie screen is rectangular)

we buy widescreen though for the life of me I can't figure out why we still have the black bars on the top and bottom of our widescreen tv..... who would have thought? We can change the setting of the tv, but then we cut off part of the picture. How frustrating!!

Old School here...Full screen because I want to see the entire screen full...the wide screen may show more of the "sideline" activity but who cares about that? I want to see more of the "up front in your face" action and I want to see it ALL big as life.
