I have a brand new kitchen which top is made of granite. Each time I try to clean it with kitchen sprays these leave the surface look opaque and it takes me to rub again and again to finally get the shiny effect. Do you know any better remedy?

Any natural stone surface is pourous, so yeah, it'll absord stuff. Not quite like a sponge would, but if left unattended it will. The best thing is to clean it ASAP, and seal the Granite every 90 days.

Granite is porous and will absorb anything spilled on it. Your best bet for cleaning stains is to contact a granite store and get one of their cleaners and they can give you directions on how to remove old stains. You may want to have your granite sealed to avoid any future stains and to make cleaning it easier.

I always wipe things up immediately and just wipe it multiple times daily with hot water.

Usually, white smears on kitchen surfaces are due to lime in the water and to remove them you need to use an acid based cleaner like Viakal or for light cleaning a window cleaner like Mr Muscle will do the job.
