It's definitely Anne Hathaway, who's also starred in The Devil Wears Prada, Brokeback Mountain and The Princess Diaries 1 & 2. She's an excellent actress so I'm sure she'll play the part well, but I feel that the movie is bending the truth slightly for entertainment value and appeal to the masses. Anne Hathaway is gorgeous, yet in reality Jane Austen was not that attractive.

Anne Hathaway is portraying Austen. Good actress but I think Kate Winslet would have been even better for the role.

She did well. But I still think it is a shame that an English woman couldn't be found to play one of the most Famous English writters.
