War movies are usually the best caliber of propaganda

A movie like "The Green Berets" could be considered propaganda, since it was real gung-ho.

Most of the Vietnam movies though would not be, since they showed the downside of the war.

Platoon
Apocalypse Now
The Deer Hunter
Coming Home
Casualties of War
Off Limits
Born on the 4th of July

No, Vietnam movies reminds us how we got involved in a place we had no business in. How we have allowed and trust one person to declare war without asking the majority (the country) if we should get involved or not.

The sad news is, Americans lost their lives.

For what? I hope this answer helps and doesn't cause an up roar...
