Yes it could be and there are a number of muslms by that name.

Incidentallly, names are just symbols and marks on somebody's identity. Hence, any name is acceptable in Islam. It is better, however, to use a good name to be appreciated by your own society.

NO. certainly not. I am a Muslim and from India and from my personal knowledge I know many Hindus, Sikhs and people from other religions are called choudry. it may mean, man who own land properties and have some status. If you check Arabic alphabets, one will notice it does not include "ch" as such choudry can not be a Muslim name, as most muslim's hae arabic names, it may be a status indicator. like squire or honourable it is just a title.

theres 2 names:
Choudry is normally not and is 4 hindus.
But Chowdhury sometimes is amongst pakistani and bangladeshis
