Much too early to worry. Give him all the time he needs, he's a baby for such a short time! As long as you offer the cup from time to time so he's familiar with it, he'll move on when he's ready. Enjoy his babyhood!

Too early to worry about it, but I think you might be surprised how well he would cope with a cup - with help!!! Start off just for fun, as he gets the hang of it it can take its place instead of the bottle. You could start thinking about offering his milk and especially his juice from a beaker, as bottles aren't good for the teeth.

But no hurry!

He should be off the bottle by now,and drinking from a baby cup. Just give him the bottle at night and the baby cup throught the day.

everyone has different ideas about when is the right time to get rid of the bottle.
offer him the cup most times thruout the day, make the bottle available at just before nap or first thing in the am, or just before bed. during the day, at meals or whenever, just let him have the cup. tell him it is big boy time when you give him the cup.
my daughter loved her bottle too, and was ok with having it a few times instead of all day, i just slowly weaned her off.
there are worse things, and who will remember what age he gave it up. you do not want to traumatize him by just ripping it out of his little hands.
what you have to remember as a mom, dont sweat the small stuff, but i know, at this stage, you dont know what the small stuff is...
the small stuff is will it matter in 20 years?
good luck, enjoy him, tomorrow he will be in college....

I would say it's a little early to try him on a proper cup yet but you could always try and see how he gets on with it. I'd be trying to get him of off his bottle and use his trainer cup more and try a cup in another few months.

My son was off his bottle at one but it cost me a fortune in testing all the different beaker.

I used boots own they have a beaker that is still a soft teat but shaped more like a beaker, once he was used to that I used another boots own beaker which he uses now and he is 19 mths but this is a proper shaped beaker.

I'd let him enjoy it a while longer...I think its too early. As he develops and matures he will probably want to start drinking out of a cup. Give him sips out of whatever your drinking that he can have....its a positive way to get him interested.

Offer the bottle at naps & bedtime. Wait till he is good with sippy cups to even worry about it. When he is able to really understand, let him throw throw them away himself, one at a time.

dont give him his bottle, except at night. Hide them away so he cannot see them, if he throws tantrums, and refuses to drink from anthing else, such as his trainer cups, throw the bottle in the bin in front of him, and then put the bin bag outside so he cannot get it out again.

Good luck
