The famous lawyer Belur Srinivasa iyengar was the person who was murdered along with his wife,two sons, mother-in-law and security guard. The accused Govinda Reddy, Krishna and Muniswamy have been hanged.

He was a prominent criminal attorney who was convicted for a particularly gruesome murder. He is know for being the last person executed at the old jail in Bangalore. This was in 1962.
