I'm looking for a bombproof/novice ride native pony? I've found a couple of places in England but I asked about transportation and it adds a huge expense!

Don't be put off by some of these well-meaning answers. There ARE reputable dealers out there - word of mouth and recommendation from other satisfied buyers is one of the best ways to find a good, reliable horse. A GOOD dealer will allow you to have the animal 5* vetted, try it out several times in differing circumstances (i.e. in traffic, hacking on his own and in company, and when taken on a large expanse of grass). He will endeavour to make sure you are suited to your purchase because if he has got a good reputation he won't want to lose it because he has sold you something unsuitable.
One word of warning though, don't accept a condition where upon if you are dissatisfied within a certain length of time, he will exchange it for another. That doesn't usually work out so well and you could lose a lot of money each time.

If you would like to have an Equestrian category on here, please go to the Forum and suggest it. Thanks.

My suggestion would be to visit tack shops, feed stores and local, reputable stables (stables that take good care of their horses). They may know of someone selling a horse or pony that would suit your needs. I know tack shops and feed stores often have postings of horses for sale.

Just make sure you test ride it, spend some time grooming it, and get a vet check before you buy a horse or pony. You want to make sure that you and the pony's personality click and you can work together. Don't believe someone if they tell you it is bombproof, try to test it somehow.

Good luck!
