Hi I have seen other questions for clock changing and read all the answers, do the clocks not change this month? Could someone tell me if it is the weekend of 24th March or the 30th March and could you confirm if they go forward.

Thanks

Thank you all, I had an idea that they went forward, but I thought it was the last saturday of the month not sunday.

Presume you are referring to the UK and Ireland? This year clocks in UK change from Greenwich Mean Time to British Summer Time at 0200 ON MORNING OF SUNDAY 25TH MARCH 2007. Windows should change time on your PC automatically at this time?

There has been a lot of talk over the years in the UK about abolishing these utterly pointless and stupid clock changes twice every year, but they go on and on and on, year after year, every March and October, purely because we have always been so stupid and want to go on being equally stupid! So you are right to be confused over the issue.

At 1.00 am on 25 March 2007 civil time will return to BST and the clocks will move forward by an hour.

There was no rule for the dates of summer time for the years 1995, 1996 and 1997, but the ad-hoc dates were:

In 1995 it was 26 March to 22 October.
In 1996 it was 31 March to 27 October.
In 1997 it was 30 March to 26 Ocotber.

The European Union has now adopted The Ninth European Parliament and Council Directive on Summer Time Arrangements in which it states that summer (or daylight saving) time will be kept between the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October. The changes will take place at 01.00 GMT. I hope this was helpful

Areas that use Daylight Savings Time change their clocks forward one hour, but the exact date depends on the country you are in. By law, the US went to DST earlier this year than in times past; some other countries will do so in the next few weeks.

Its always the last sunday morning of the month at 2am. So the last Sunday is on 25th march. And its forward - remember the quote "spring forward, fall back" - fall being the american word for autumn.

Depends on what country in which you live. In America, Daylight Savings Time started early in the morning on the first Sunday of March.
