ok he came over last weekend and spent time wit me and told me that he loved me and wanted me back but how do i know if he means it?

When someone tells you that they love you they are saying they are committed to you. It is his choice of whether to love you or not. Watch his actions. They will tell you if he is choosing to love you or not. Also do not be fooled by his attraction for you. See if he is making a conscious effort to be committed to you. I will take some time to prove he is serious if not it should be relatively easy to figure out.

you'll know by his actions..is he doing things to really get back with you like being extra sensitive to your needs, doing things you like, really listening to you, patching up your problems? you should watch for these kinds of things and not just on what he says. remember, guys can sometimes say something but do another thing completely opposite...on the other hand, girls do that too, right? ;) anyway, i suggest you focus on his actions to really know if he wants to work things out with you. and make sure that he understands why you broke up with each other and that he is ready for compromising to make things work.

try flirting with someone else in front of him and if he fights may be he does mean it
if he gets angry at you then just tell him that you were just testing him to see does he still like you or he just wants to make someone jelous
