You know that every year Ortiz has improved his technics and has been a better player. I know him form here, DR, and honestly I saw him very close, he has better shape than years before, he doesn't have that big stomach he used to have, still a big body, but now he's stronger, healthier and more muscle than fat.

This year he'll keep improving: 58 HR, 162 RBI, 4 SB, .298 AVG. Will get close to the MVP award again, but won't win it until next year, when he'll get more games as 1B (100 games).

Sox will make it to the ALCS against Yankees. All will be decided in the seventh game with a 2 run RBI double by Ortiz, scoring Coco Crisp and Julio Lugo. The Sox will leave the Yankees in their own terrain. Then go to New York for a series against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Hope this predictions could help you...

I don't hate the Red Sox, and I'm not a Yankees fan, but I do hate DHs. Ortiz will bat .301 with 49 HR and 148 RBI. He will get 1 SB. With that being said...GET RID OF THE DH RULE.

With his ability to hit the ball and put it anywhereon the field, i say he can EASILY finish the season with a batting average of .301. "Senor Octubre's" home run tally has increased every year since 00' so I put him at 58-60 homers this season. He will play like the all-star he is and get (roughly) 154 RBIs. As for stolen bases, I'm gonna go ahead and give him 2. And thats being nice! Look for the Sox to start off alittle slow without closer Timlin in the lineup for awhile, but come mid-season you all better jump on the RedSox bandwagon and get ready for post season play!!
GO NATION!!!!!

Ortiez will hit .250 with 1 HR and 1 RBI after going 1 for 4 in the first game and then being out of the season after tearing his windpipe from eating too big of a ham sandwich.

Ortiz batted .287 last year and really needs to cut down on the strikeouts which has been well over 100+ the past 3 years.

I'de say
.297
46 Homeruns
141 rbi's
2 ignored stolen bases
