I aint got nut’n bad 2 say about Vick.
I think we’re gonna see a rejuvenated Vick this year.
With Petrino allowing Vick 2 call some plays on his own I think ATL will be more efficient in the Red Zone because of that.
I believe ATL will draft a QB simply because they’re not gonna wait around until they HAVE 2.
So what Vick’s getting 100 mil over 10 yrs.
Ya REALLY think he’s gonna be PLAYING 4 the next 10 years?
Not that it can’t be done; Vinny Testaverde comes 2 mind. What was it; 20 yrs?
Shockley, going into his 3rd yr is still green.
With the addition of Redman & drafting a QB now 2 grow with Shcokley could give ATL 3 capable QBs if/when Vick goes down.
Eventually, EVERY PLAYER needs 2 be replaced. I think around players 8th year is a good time 2 start grooming his replacement.
This is Redmans 6th yr AND he’s 30 yrs old. Not a young man by NFL standards.
This is Vicks 8th yr.
I think we’ll start seeing him in the pocket more instead of taking flight all the time.

They added a good vet receiver in Joe Horn and barring injury; Warrick Dunn can still give 1000 yds.
Me; I still like the power running game and I think they could definitely have success with a big bullback (sic) that can knock mf’s DOWN! a-ight?
As responder MOSS pointed out, there are no GLARING weaknesses on O or D; however, I think they should draft defensive & offensive players not only as capable backups but with an emphasis also of players that can help them out in ALL phases of SPECIAL TEAMS.
Their kick & punt return averages could use a boost as well as their kick & punt return coverage.

They are going to need one. It's sad but D. J. Shockley is now the best QB the Falcons have. Vick is the most pitiful excuse for a QB I have ever seen and I'd been going to games for many years. Why? After a spectacular catch by White against Cleveland on the Browns' 10 yard line, Michael Vick fumbled the ball and no one even hit him. The Falcons lose to one of the worst teams in the league 17-13. Carolina without Smith or Delhomme beat the Falcons 10-3. The poor offense put the defense on the field 41 minutes because Vick could neither run nor pass. He can't outrun DB's any longer. This was in Atlanta when the Falcons were still in the playoff hunt. He threw 0 TD passes in the 4th Quarter in 2006. I get so tired of fans defending this bad QB. Fans are not going to put up with this poor play for much longer. Vick makes so much that the Falcons should go 14-2 every year. They are getting a very poor return on their investment. I say cut your losses, but with Schaub gone, they will need a QB, and they won't get Russell or Quinn because they will be gone by the 8th pick. I say let Vick go and then maybe the Falcons could afford a QB. Look for the Texans to improve drastically. Matt Schaub was the real deal, but Arthur Blank is blind to the fact that Vick is a loser.

SIMPLE ANSWER: Yes, but not in the first round.
They would not waste their 8th pick on a QB but will likely take a QB later. Possibly as early as Troy Smith with one fo their two second round picks. They now have no real backup for Vick and need to address this plus Vick needs to have some pressure on his back.

No the falcons will go after a cornerback or a wide reciever whit there extra picks. They might trade up `1-2 more places to keep Calvin Johnson WR (Georgia Tech) in town or they might draft Arkansas DE Jamal Anderson. They will probably draft on the defensive side of the line because they lost a lot on Defense this year. They lost Patrick Kearny to free agency.

No.
The Falcons are looking for Safties, Defensive Ends, O-Linmen. (Not LB, that is one of the best areas on the team).
I could see the Falcons either drafting a QB late in the draft or try to draft Brohm from Louisville in next years draft.
Vick is the QB for this team. Petrino said so.

i dont know for sure, but they should mike vick has been very bad on and off the field. it is time for a change at qb. they moved up in the draft and their are no other GLARING hoes in the lineup. i think that a top 5 qb could fall into their hands and they would have no other choice but to get rid of vick...

No, they are paying $100 million to Vick over 10 years. They aren't going after a QB.

No, they are positioning themselves for the 08 draft. This will be Vick's make or break year. If he breaks, look for Atlanta to draft Brohm out of Louisville as his replacement. Since Petrino coached and groomed Brohm for the NFL when he was the head coach at Louisville.

They must take Percy Harvin from Florida, that would make Atlanta's offense one of the vital quality, if no longer the quality, within the NFL. Harvin appears like a well are compatible for the Falcons. But if no longer Harvin, Laurinaitis.

Trading your backup quarterback isnt a sign of replacing your starting quarterback. And if I have the guy with the highest payroll in the NFL on my team then I am going to use him. They are going to use this pick to get some receivers hopefully or maybe a decent corner. That would be nice.
