Have your fish been exposed to high ammonia levels recently? (Is your tank and fish new, or have you missed some water changes?) The black parches could be a sign of a healing ammonia burn: http://www.fish-disease.net/diseases.htm
The furry part is something different - this could be a "fungus" or a bacterial (Columnaris) problem. I'm going to post some links towebsites where you can look up the symptoms and get info on the correct diagnosis and treatment. Look at the info for black patch, Branchiomycosis, and Cryptobiosis.

I just got my degree in marine biology. It sounds to me like a simple case of rhotundrun syndrome. It is not fatal to the fish, but is a "common cold" of sorts. Even though it is not that serious, you MUST get the black stuff off of them or it will take over their entire body. The "mold" as you call it is a mineral deposit developing on their scales, which means that they are not absorbing the minerals in their food properly. To remedy this, you will need to do the following in the exact procedure that I spell out. First, prepare a mix of rubbing alcohol and black pepper. It should be runny, not pastey. Then, apply this mixture on a Q-tip. Catch one fish in your net and CAREFULLY hold it still on its sides. Make sure your hands are freshly washed so that the fish does not catch anything else. Then, apply the mixture to the affected area. Make sure you do this quickly so that the fish doesn't have to be out of water for long. Then, replace the fish into the water. Within 24 hours, the fish should be back to normal. Hope this helps!

It sounds as if it may be a fungus. Look up velvet and other fungus that fish can get. The sites describe them well. My goldfish is "gold" and lives with a black one, she turned gold with big black spots, pet store says she's fine, that it can happen. Weird, I know!

maybe they have fin rot? Best thing you can do is try to take a photo of one of them, (No, don't take them out the tank to do this lol), and take the pic to a pet store. they'll advise u before u spend ur pennies on fin rot stuff. Do it pretty quick though as a goldfishes immune system is not that great!

They could have parasites. Take them to a vet. See the site below for more of an idea of what you're dealing with. If their behaviour hasn't changed, you're probably fine.

Sounds like there is some sort of fungus. You can get anti-fungal liquids from pet shops that you add to the water.

LOL, sounds like you need a snail. Snails love moss and mildew, that's how you keep your tank clean. But only get one snail. They reproduce frequently.
