theres thousands of so called chats out there
from all walks of life and countrys
i prefer to use irc (intrenet relay chat)
theres loads of hobbies to join and chat or if you have any other intrest theres loads of rooms to join
have a look i use it all the time and its good fun, u can also swap music and stuff

Depends on your age really - if you're a teenager I'd suggest Habbo Hotel, and if you're older you could try the Yahoo chat rooms.
