Sex is technically the act of intercourse. Fertilisation results in pregnancy...just because you didn't get pregnant doesn't mean your a virgin. Kissing is not sex, nor is a hand job or oral sex.

In a legal sense sex is defined as penetration of any orifice. This is normaly used in rape cases. For expample in the Duke Lacross case, the initial suspects vever penetrated the accuser so there was no rape, it was classified as sexual assault.
