A search on "identical twins DNA" led us into a fascinating world of genetics, cloning, and the old nature vs nurture debate.

As we soon learned, identical twins, formed when one fertilized egg splits, are the only people in the world with identical DNA. Fraternal twins, on the other hand, are formed when two different eggs are fertilized. Genetically speaking, fraternal twins are no closer than normal siblings, sharing only about 50% of their genes.

Although identical twins have the same genotype, or DNA, they have different phenotypes, meaning that the same DNA is expressed in different ways.

Traits determined by phenotype, such as fingerprints and physical appearance, are the result of "the interaction of the individual¿s genes and the developmental environment in the uterus." Thus, a DNA test can't determine the difference between identical twins, while a simple fingerprint can..

GeneTree's Twin Zygosity test looks at specific genetic markers to determine the nature of the relationship between twins. It's quick and can be done in the comfort of your own home. To answer the question once and for all.

Twin siblings can either be ‘identical’ or ‘fraternal’. Twin Zygosity refers to the genetic relationship between twin siblings. GeneTree's DNA testing services are used to help determine if twins are either fraternal or identical.

Identical twin occur when a single egg is fertilized with a single sperm, and then egg splits into two separate eggs. These two eggs contain the exact same genetic potential. The DNA profiles for identical twins will be identical

Yes..thay have identical genes and everything because they came from a single egg that was fertilized when they were conceived. The egg later split in 2 which results in identical twins. On the other hand, fraternal twins come from 2 different egg that was fertilized at the same time by 2 different sperm so I don't think they have identical DNA.

identical twins are born due to the division of the same embryo sooooo may be allll the genes are copied same but odds left that means may be some genes are transcribed differently that means the difference is not much
common so y u call them identical !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, and right that's why. Intuitively, you could already determine why it does not artwork as you think of because of the fact the comparable father and the comparable mom don't have indentical toddlers. replace the daddy along with his comparable twin and the mummy along with her comparable twin, and you're dealing with the situation of two toddlers from the comparable parents having the comparable point of kinship. in case you anticipate that the daddy has Aa chromosome, and the mummy has Bb, then the youngsters must be Ab, AB, aB or ab. Multiply for all 23 pairs of chromosomes. At maximum, cousins of comparable twin parents could be as close as brothers and sisters, not extra.
