Does anyone know if this stanza is a translation of something of Petrarch's?

Question

the good snow the black sky
the dead branches the danger
of the trap filled forest
dishonor to the hunted animal

It's the first part of the very last stanza of something I read while waiting for my class to start. The professor was playing music (non english) that was very beautiful, and had this shown on an overhead with both something that looked italian or latin and an english translation. (yes this means I was eavesdropping on another class. From what I can find its the Music History (1790--) class)
