Cyst in the womb...?

Question

Just discovered I have one. Quite large - the size of a plum. What will they do to me? Will it be lasered or cut out or left?

Just had a scan yesterday and waiting for my doctor to contact me to discuss what we are going to do...

i think they'll have to do a laporatomy (when an insigion is made). a laporaoscapy (key hole) may not be suitabole for such a large cyst

a cyst has the danger of rupturing. my mum had one when she was 31, the size of a melon. it resulted in a hystorectomy as it ruptured.

i got outr of hospital last fri after having an ectopic and was on a ward with a woman who had a cyst removed. she just had the key hole procedure, but i dont know how big hers was.

The first thing that will probably be done is an ultrasound to find out for sure if it's a cyst (because sometimes an ultrasound can differentiate between a benign cyst and a cancerous tumor which are solid usually) and then what kind.

The dr will ask you if it causes any pain and depending on where it's located in your uterus they may decide to try and take it out right there in the office after they know what kind it is.

As for what exactly the dr will do, only they can tell you for sure when it comes to treating it.

you will most likley have to have a opperation to get it out or even a hystorectomy but better out than in dont worry about it or you will make yourself ill as you will be fine whatever they wont leave it in thats for sure as it will grow larger.good luck
