Fruits and vegetables whose flesh is dark- carrots sweet potatoes, peas, beans, prunes, apricots, lentils. Breast feeding or formula up to a year.
After that, whole milk for the first two or three years, other dairy products (not low fat, growing children need the fat and cholesterol for their brains), whole wheat pasta and bread, and lean meats- pretty much a diet for a healthy adult with whole fat dairy instead of low fat.
Plenty of fluids- in milk or water or 100% juice.

Apricots (dark ones) with banana, vegetables like carrots with potatoes. All food should be mixed until it's a thick liquid. You can try out different foods, just a little bit and see how the child reacts. In the beginning be care full with kiwi, strawberry, they sometimes give an allergic reaction. Try a little bit and wait 2 days to see the reaction. If there is no reaction you can go ahead and give it. Preferably give food which is biological, with less or no chemicals. Good luck!

Avocado's that are very ripe and then mashed up with formula or water are full of nutrients for your little one.
Other than that a diet filled with the many colors of the rainbow are what's best for nutrition.
By a book, like Super Baby Foods, that will guide you through what foods are best at what ages.

I think till the baby completes 1 year mom's natural milk is best. After that it totally depends on the baby, if it has some teeth then go for smooth soft rice-Dal / rice-milk. Some juices but not cold ones, very neatly cleaned small pieces of fruits like, apple, banana, water melon. Try to avoid outside food.
