Bettas with platies? I don't think there would be trouble here. But how big is your tank anyway? I think bettas are somewhat territorial, so your platie should have some space to run and hide. By my estimate, your betta should have its own space of around 1 cubic foot, then another cubic foot for the other fish.

Bettas with tiger barbs? Maybe okay, maybe not. Sometimes tiger barbs are well behaved. Again, your tank should provide adequate space and hiding places for each fish. But if there are several barbs in one tank, your betta would be in grave trouble.

The Betta and Platy should be OK if you set-up will support them. The Tiger Barb would pick on the Betta endlessly. Any way one Tiger Barb with any other fish is a bad idea.

First of all, bettas CAN live with certain kinds of other fish. Mostly tropical community fish. But you want to stay away from fish that have large fins such as male fancy guppies, hi-fin tetras, and lyretail mollies because he would see them as a threat. Mickey mouse platies SHOULD be ok, but it depends on how aggressive your betta is.

Tiger barbs are really bad fin nippers. And seeing a betta is mostly fins, I wouldn't

You have to keep male Betta's by them selves because they will kill any other fish that is with them

Because of that I know of a person that breads guppies and feeds them to the Betta and that way he has to catch his own food
