Because the seasons are changing and the world has changed quite a bit since the time christmas was set.
Also due to the gulf stream and jet wind effect the weather can be colder or warmer due to its position.
Global Warming does have a slight effect, but this is normal for around this time of year.

Oh! it must be Global Warming, look out an Ice Age is on the way! (Don't tell the government, they have got it wrong again!)
Or maybe, it's a natural weather system, like it always is! and there is nothing to worry about, (that won't help the government, they like us to be scared!)

Beg to differ that it's to do with the tilt of the earth that Feb/March are often colder than December, more to do with the heat stored in the sea that December is often milder....

Yes. We didn't have snow in the Midlands at Xmas, although there was a bit of morning frost the daytime temperature was higher than this week so far.
