4 years old, I grew up in Liverpool and at a very early age you had to make a choice on whether you were blue or red. I chose blue. The emotions are worse now because one season you're cruising and the next you're not. Never a dull moment at Everton.

Im a Preston supporter, I grew up in an area where there were lots of boys and few girls so i played in goal for the lads when I was about 7 or 8. When their Dads took them to watch PNE, I tagged along and my love of football began. Ive been a season ticket holder for almost 20years now and even though Ive moved away from Preston, I watch every home game travelling 50 miles.

Living in the bleak peninsula of Cornwall there is vry little opions on supporting a local side, or even watching one regularly. When I started watching football, it was the 1990 world cup and I was (at a tender age) impressed with David Platt. He was playing for the Villa so I decided to support them. The following year they sold him to Bari, but I stuck with the Villa. Season after season of mid-table mediocrity and under achievement has followed. It's really boring being a Villa fan. No chance at top end of the table. Very rarely we have a flirt with relegation but not enough to considr it serious. My greatest memory is Savo (can't hit the sie of a barn) milosevic scoring a hat-trick against leeds to win us the league cup. How sad is it that my greatest footballing moment involves Savo?

Another sport but relevant to your question. I support Harlequins RFU, have done since I was 7 and My Dad took Me, reason, only main team south of the river.
Also a life long Sussex CC fan, again Dad was one who took Me to see them when I was very young as he was a keen cricketer as well, also due to the fact lived in Sussex all My life, Nearest ground is used once a year just over 500 yards from where I am living now.
As for Football, sorry but I do not support or follow the game as I find it quite boring and very over rated, but that is My opinion.

I was 8 years old watching the 1983 FA Cup Final and it was the day my Dad left. Watched the game to hide from it, heard about the history of the club and got hooked.
We got lucky not to lose. It finished 2-2 and we done them (Brighton & Hove Albion) 4-0 in the replay.
Followed them ever since.

When I was little I grew up in a house where football was frowned upon (the old 22 men kicking a piece of leather thing) My dad hated footie, however my Mum was one of 16 kids from the ar$e end of Manchester, half my uncles and my Granddad supported Man City and the other half United, on Derby days when they came back on Sat Afternoons blood would spill, My uncle took me to see Utd when I was 6 and I fell in love with the team, the place, the atmosphere everything. My love affair with them has grown and grown, get very emotional and protective of them

I am 31 years old and have supported Southend United since I was about 10. They are my local team and I watch them through thick and thin. Only three years ago we were nearly relegated from the football league, now we are in the Championship and earlier this year beat Man Utd in the carling cup... Rooney and Ronaldo included!! Come on you Shrimpers!!!

Born in 1982 (24 years old for the thicko's) Started to support them as soon as i knew what football was... so about 5 or 6.. I was born into a spurs family so i was always around them.... My dad never bought me a spurs shirt or told me to support them,. but i just felt they were the team i should follow... I was born pretty much smack bang in between the two clubs... (actually about 3 miles closer to Arsenal...) but i chose Spurs... It was great as my dad has 6 brothers, and between the lot there is 4 Spurs and 3 Arsenal... Great on Derby Days!!!!
