How many ways can knights survive a joust??? I need the answer ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most knights did survive a joust.

These were tournaments that allowed knights to show off their military prowess and their cash - they were not gladiorial fights to the death.

The only time a knight was killed in a joust was by accident.
