Newcastle United have never won the Premiership but they have won the old First Division 5 times.
They won in season 1904/05.
1906/07
1908/09
1926/27
1992/93.

the last time Newcastle United won the English First Division was in 1926-1927 season. the Magpies have won 4 First Division title in 1904-1905, 1906-1907, 1908-1909, 1926-1927.

I think the person who posted earlier (gunner?) is mistaken,
when they won the first division in 92/93 it was no longer the old first division (in the sense of it being the top league) as the premiership had been created, so winning that got them promoted to the premiership and was the equivalent to winning the championship today.
the last team to win the first division (that is now the premiership) before the name was changed was i believe leeds in 91/92 season.

They've been league champions on 4 occassions (years listed above (ecluding 92-93).
They've also won the F.A Cup 7 times, the last of which they won in 1955
