good idea?

that he actually thinks that the end of the world would be a 'good' thing, for fundamentalist christians.

I use the word fundamentalist as meaning he takes the bible literally, thinks the world is 12000 years old and is a creationist.

I posted this at americans last night, they so no problem with it (butthey are not the ones being bombed in Iraq)

yeah, ernest whatever.

but id like the leader of the free world to think the world is older than 12000 at the least.

is that who you want with the power to destroy the planet?

Outraged....your mindset worries me a little. I wouldn't like the world to be destroyed by anyone, and the fact that you are preparing, nay welcoming armageddon is insane.

we should livve for the future, not prepare to be zapped by god.

If you knew anything about the Rapture or Christianity, you'd also know that your question does not make sense . The Rapture is said to take place, BEFORE the world spins out of control . Maybe if you actually read the Bible, you'd have a clue as to what you're referring to . Try it. . . . and then comment on it !!

*rolls eyes* i'm afraid which you (and Pres. Bush) are incorrect,in case you thinkt hat the rapture has something to do with Armageddon.Theya re 2 very seperate issues, and If Pres.Bush relatively believed interior the rapture,he might comprehend that.you will possibly be able to disagree with the guy,yet it fairly isn't any excuse for speaking approximately him like he's a three 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous fidgeting along with his daddy's gun. And being a 'elementary' Christian easily potential adhereing to the elementary ideals of Christianity-such because of the fact the virgin delivery, the resurrection, one god,and so on. There really is some doubt whether George Bush himself is a fundamentalist, although he's clearly a Christian. Many of the neoconservatives in his administration are Jews who are concerned for the safety and survival of Israel, so it's unlikely that this president would DELIBERATELY destroy the middle east.

I hope that's some consolation to you.

You'd have a point if the end of the world was a nuclear event.

Since it's up to God, you don't.

And, have you talked to George about what he believes, or are you just talking out of your butt?

Thought so.

I truly believe that humanity will be ended by a fundamentalist with a nuclear weapon--whether it be a Christian, Muslim or Jew. Mumbling on about "God's will" as he presses the button to kill us all. Anyone who worships an invisible god who lives in the sky should not be allowed to have control of weapons of any kind.

In a rational world, religion would have been put out to pasture centuries ago. It baffles me how any reasonable human being could still believe in this silly crap much less try to impose it on others.

I am a Christian, and I am thrilled that a Man who knows The LORD is in The White House.

But, let me clue you in on this, believing that "Armageddon" is near does not mean that we believe we can or should cause it. We can't, that is in God's hands. Man will never destroy the World, God will.

I don't think attacking someone because of their religious beliefs or lack there of is a good idea.

If we start saying hey you can't be president because you believe in God, or your Jewish or your an atheist then we are heading down an ugly path.
