I called this guy 196 times yesterday, and I left 195 messages to his answering machine (I dialed the wrong number once and said 'I love you' to a Fransican nun)
He doesn't return my phone calls, should I keep trying?

The first thing that came to mind was that you have an obsession. It isn't healthy nor wise to make so many calls. In fact it suggests that you might have an emotional problem.Unless you were kidding.I would make no more then two calls in a day and usually don't need to make that many for one person. If they don't answer the phone and you leave a message on the machine/ voice mail then they will call you back if they want to talk to you.If they don't call you back then they must not want to talk and so it isn't worth your time worrying about when you will hear from them.If they never call back then it is a hint that they are not as interested in you as you are with them.

He probably thinks you are a stalker. Why would you call anyone 195 times? That is like calling someone and letting the phone right 15 times, because maybe they are going to answer it. Not! If anyone called me 195 times in one day, I would change my number, and hope you go away!

haha.
But it is harassment. My "x-aunt" called my mom, 20 times one day, we told her to go away, shecalled 40 times the next day even if we kept hanging up on her then 100 the day after, we called the police, 174 times and for some of it the police officer was standing in our living room... she's sitting in jail now, and will be forking over about $2000 for it. HAHAH!
If this were a serious question
I suggest you keep it up. Maybe you could find someone as skitzoid as you then the only thing you'ld have to worry about is the phone bill.
Cute joke though.

The problem is that he probably didn't get all those messages. The answering machine ran out of room. Give him time to erase what you left then start again. That way there will be no doubt in his mind how you feel.

Uhm...maybe if you called twice yesterday and then waited, he might return them. After 196 calls...he's gonna think you're more of a stalker than a good date.

You are bad as me! I don't know whether I'm just stubborn or if it's obsessive compulsive disorder but it usually pays off in the end. Never give up.
PS beware the nun the are crazy creatures!
