i think it would have been much better if u would have told wht the reason was for not been able to tell him about ur love.
but whatever the reason i think finding some1 u love is difficult and having the same person loving u back is even more difficult. so pls go ahead and tell him about ur love and rest leave it to ALL MIGHTY!!

You have not told the reasons however find out if he is suitable to you in all the angles like his behaviour, his education, his looks, his manners, and the most important thing whether he has committment to stay with you inspite of facing both known & unknown hurdles if all these are ok than I think you can spell it out to him.
