well first off hispanics come in different races just how CCH said. and yuo know what? is just ignorant of your part to think something like that. there are white hispanics, mestizos(mixed of white and indigenous) mulatos hispanics. mixed black/indigenous hispanics and so on.

The others are right about the pigment in black peoples skin is a lot stronger. Check this example out: A black person can have kids all different shades of brown. But anyway, I am mixed and my father is white and my mother is black. I look like a hispanic.

Hispanic, if you do your research, is a hybrid race; stemming from the pro-generation of Native American (of Mongoloid descent) and Spanish (of Caucasoid descent).
Both of the two have common roots, while "Blacks" are of a more singular genealogical history.
At that, Hispanic is something of a modern categorization, and is loosely termed. In recent history all those termed as Hispanic were once termed simply as "White". I don't know if a proud Latino or a racist White made the decision, but they were only recently (within the last 15 or so years) separated on the census.

Because "Hispanic" is not a race, it's a culture, and you can find Hispanic people of many races.

I think the black gene is more dominant. I have not researched it or anything - but I do see your point. I had no idea Cameron Diaz was hispanic! That's crazy!!
