I know the job i have is not a bad job. I am in my mid twenties, and I earn more than anybody my age. When I left school , to the surprise of my parents ,I took a trade than pursing college. On finishing my trade, I "recalibrated" myself, and took a job in the IT industry ,and worked. I know earn a great wage, and things on that sense are doing well. However, lately I find I am bored. I do not like going to work, and I feel I have made mistakes. I need my current income now ,and I cannot afford to drop. I do not know now what to do. I don't know if I can continue my current place. I am happy, but bored and fed up. I do not know what to do. Does anyone know whats wrong with me , and what should I do now ?

YOU ARE BORED! That is usually an indication that you need to learn something new, see if you can branch out from what you are doing now and increase you skills with your current company. That may put a little excitment back into showing up for work.

Lower your bills so you are not living and spending right up to a point of being trapped financially. Use whatever extra money saved into taking a course in something that excites your brain.

Whatever you do... NEVER stop learning... No one at the age of 20 can seriously say they know exactly what they want to do for the Rest of their lives.... you live, your grow as a person, you learn more about you..... let your curiousities and imagination guide you, but never stop learning.

You are only in your mid twenties. Its never too late to find a new career path.If u studied after school like an average person suppose to( now you would be just starting a new job or just earning). If you are bored you need to do something else.Find out what tickles your fancy and do it.If you earning enough money you will be able to do what it is you want. You need to be stimulated in your job and if u not.You wont feel like going to work or even working when youre there.

You pat yourself on the back for realizing you are in the wrong industry and work your way through school, training or whatever is required to "change horses." Be glad you didn't punch the same time clock for 40 years, as at your age, you can modify your approach to life, the universe and everything with a little assessment in re: your financial ability to make such a change, whether you do or do not qualify for sponsored programs to help you and just how much time effort and money you are willing to invest in a "career makeover." Google, Yahoo or wing it, the power is yours.

It depends whether it's your career or your workplace that you're fed up with. If you don't like your workplace or your current job, but you want to continue in the same career path, look for a better job. If you want a complete change of direction, I would recommend taking a vocational assessment. They involve aptitude and personality measures with other measures of your preferences and interests to reveal the types of careers that would be most suited to you. It's definitely not too late to change direction.
