Pirate music are music that are copied or downloaded without the permission of the singer/company. For example, a person would buy an original CD from store and make copies to sell to his/her friends. The same is done for DVDs.

i dont know but i can imagine the pirates getting drunk and having a ho-down to some horns and stuff, kind of like irish music. illegal music would be "pirated"
