For the information of the sarcastic I have a password set and I do use WPA encryption I also know that a passord can be easily cracked by anyone who can read. I wont elaborate here because no need to spread the details It is always good to hear what others do it has little to do with being lazy I am not asking for anyone to do my homework for me so relax :)

Open your web browser and go to:

http://192.168.1.1 (or whatever the address to your router is)

When you have logged in click on the STATUS tab.

Click on the DHCP Clients button. Now, every machine attached to the network along with their MAC address will be displayed. If there are more machines than you have that are attached, you have an intruder.

Log into your router and it should tell you what devices are attached to the router both via cable and wireless. If there are more devices connected than are using then someone else is on it.
Setup the security settings and use MAC filtering. Change your wireless key once a month or more otfen if you feel there is a problem.

Enable Mac Address Filtering on you Wireless Router and only MAC Addresses which are authorized can connect to the Router.

Prevention is better and easy than Detection

There are other programs that will tell you, but you seem to not want to use them because you apparently feel that asking here and waiting for a few answers is faster. You are mixed up.

Why don't you just password protect the signal and stop worrying.
