Copper has 29 electrons, and 29 protons.

The number of electrons and protons equals the atomic number.
Search the net (i use google) 'Copper' and you should be able to find a website with all the information on Copper you need .

the numbver of electrons is the same as the number of protons which equals the atomic number
look at the periodic table
find cu in the transition metals and the smaller number is the atomic number
