Ok... So many answers, here's mine too!

Well If your computer has been misbehaving recently then check up the following:-

1. Remember installing any new programs recently ? If yes Uninstall those programs

2. If you're running on windows XP, try using the system restore program to restore your PC to a point you think you did not find any problems. Click on Start>Programs>Accessories> System Tools>System Restore

2. Did you visit any websites that had pop-ups asking you to click 'Yes' over and over and finally you did the 'Yes' part? (happens when ur trying to download something from somewhere you're not supposed to be)

3. Get a copy of Anti-Spyware Software, I use Lavasoft Adaware Personal SE, Its free and quite effective

4. Get an anti-virus software to check if your system may have been infected with virus

5. Get a registry cleaning software from the web. (Beware when using such software, some are malware's themselves, so double check the reviews of the software you download)

6. If Everything fails then the last option would be to format and re-install windows

7. If you;re not sure about how to do any of the above call a Computer service guy, its time for him to earn some money!!! :))

If everything else fails go in for a format and re-install

If you are using the internet and you want the website's font bigger, go to view and then click text size. But, with what you are talking about, it seems as though the font of everything on your computer is tiny. Here is what you do: Go to Control panel, then when it opens, click apperence on the top tabs. On my computer, it is the 4th tab from the left. Then, at the bottom, there will be a drop down arrow under font size with three different settings to choose from. You should maybe try the biggest first and adjust from there. I hope my advice helped you, and sorry it's so long. I know how it feels to not have an answer that helps!

It all has to do with what plan you are on and how many gigs per month you are allowed. As soon as you use over your allowed amount of gigs your computer will slow down . You probably have noticed that your computer runs fast for a little while, then slows right the next time you turn computer on. Mabe try upgrading your plan.
Just so you know, I am the most computer iliterate person you will ever come across. I know nothing when it comes to computers. But this was the problem with mine.

The one and only thing U have to do is increase your RAM atleast to 128 if you are going to use normal applications like MSOffice, Java, simple games, etc.

If you have some advanced designing softwares or 3d games like that, then upgrade ur RAM to atleast 256.

U are literally very very back in ur configuration. RAM of size 56 is very old one. Now the cost has become some what cheaper so that you could afford for a 128 or 256 RAM.

Virus cleaning
Spyware cleaning
Remove unwanted programs

also add more ram.
If virtual memory is being used it means the RAM has been used up and it's using your hard drive as memory. But do a good cleaning so you aren't adding more RAM just to run your spyware.

Uninstall unused or uneeded software, compress your old files that you rarely use, defragment you hard disk, and scan the entire thing for any worms or malicious software that can slow you down without knowing it.
these are the usual steps to fix this problem.i hope they do you good~!

You need to upgrade your memory 56MB wont cut it but you probably meant you have 256MB installed. So go out and get yourself another piece of 256MB for a total of 512MB and if you can upgrade your Hard drive to atleast an 80GB.
