When your computer first boots, it should show on the main screen (near the bottom) press f1, delete, escp. etc to enter setup.
Just enter that setup to change CMOS settings. Make the changes and save them. Then reboot. If the message is gone your fixed.
If you have a Compaq, HP, etc that don't show that just check the website for them to see how to "enter CMOS setup"
It the settings then don't hold, you will need a battery.

Good Luck

if you just added memory, ide devises or cards; try rebooting. You're CMOS probably told you that something changed. It won't give this message on a reboot.
