Are your sun and moon signs considered to be of equal importance?

Or is one more important/reliable than the other? My sun sign is Libra and my moon sign is Scorpio. I do have some Libra qualities but I feel I have many more Scorpio qualities. I was a total astrology skeptic until I learned that everyone has more than one sign. I never felt like I was really a true Libra. My ascendant sign is Taurus and I can find some Taurus qualities in me, but not nearly as many as Scorpio. Does the moon sign have some kind of relevance that the other signs don't have?

I don't take astrology very seriously, I am just curious. I also think it's pointless for people to come on here and tell me that my question is stupid, because I'm posting in the horoscopes section, not any kind of general topic section. If you don't want to say anything informative about astrology than just don't comment or post your answer. There are a lot of other places you can comment at where your answer will be appreciated.

The Sun Sign is what most people know without a doubt. It is also (usually) the most obvious part of the personality. The Sun is the conscious self. It is the behaviour one is most comfortable with. It is the every day, fair-weather self. But there is much more to you than your Sun Sign...

From what I've gathered the Sun, Moon, and Ascendant are the "big three" things that determine your personality and appearance.

From what you've written, having 2/3 of those major planets in a "Venus" ruled sign, it probably means you are very pretty and curvy, as Venus likes to make her women that way. However, Scorpio might cancel out Taurus as they're opposite signs. Men with Scorpio moons usually hate women because their moms were b*tches.

Thus, your moon sign is your "Mother". I'm not sure but if she was the main parent raising you, then maybe your Moon sign becomes even more important.
Or, perhaps you might have some tight aspects to the planet "Pluto"(Scorpio's ruler) in your chart.

I think the sun signs in the newspaper are a bad thing, as they make everyone think astrology is crap, but when you look at your whole chart with an open-mind, you can gain valuable insights into yourself and others.

I have learned through out m no so long life to leave without stress. One of the most important fact I found is that following astrological signs was once a good adventure to have. As time passes by I have realized how anxious I became every time I read my signs and it's not to my expectation. At that juncture I decided to be normal human being who only knows that if anyone could predict the future the whole world would have gone bananas long long time ago. If you were to think of your Sun sign as your soul -- your inner personality and potential -- and your Moon sign as your heart -- your emotional core -- then you could say that your rising sign is your physical self or the face you present to the world.

So I would say the combination of the 3 are very important sun moon and rising : )
