The only advantage is the low cost of living in Philippines. I find the local people not so friendly towards Americans. Lots of name-calling when they think you don't understand their language. Manila is the worst. Daily discomforts and inconveniences that modern countries would never tolerate are an accepted way of life in PI. Yep, it's gotta be just the cost of living there that attracts most of us. Don't get me wrong....I know there are some decent and good people there and certainly deserving of a better life. I am just giving my own opinion and observations here, not hating on anybody.

You are too lucky to have a taste of the different dishes here as well as have a chance to see the different beautiful spots here in the Philippines as well as the underwater diving if you know how to go on sea diving. You will meet different kinds of people from all walks of life if you know how to mingle with the poor ones also. And of course, your money will be plenty when converted into our Philippine currency.
Enjoy!!!!!

BTW, Just me - so it's "sex with the locals" huh? Yeah, it's JUST YOU! Definitely, just you!

You'll be regarded by the locals with high esteem. That's how hospitable we are. In most cases, that virtue is being misunderstood and abused by many.
