www.wrightslaw.com this will help ya with the legality of an IEP and make sure you are getting things done the right way. Depending on the disablity ask your Dr and therapists what this child needs to be successful in school and go from there.

You begin by writing a present level of performance...what can the student do. You determine what setting services are going to be delivered in.....regular class all day, special class, 1/2 and 1/2, special school??? You determine student's primary needs and write corresponding goals and objectives specific to the student's needs. You next determine what extra services, if any, the student will recieve (speech, OT, PT, vision, etc.) and how many min. per week/mo. You determine what accommodations as well as what assessments the student will take. All of this is compiled and signed at an annual IEP team meeting. Each school district will have a specific IEP format that is to be followed. A website will not help you in that each district follows a different format and the present level, goals and objectives need to be student-specific and developed by and IEP team. Good luck!
