I guess Halal is suitable for Muslims for it means 'lawful' from Arabic language. Since.there are Muslims living nationwide; this halal trademark is used to describe meat from animals that have been slaughtered in the ritual way prescribed by Islamic law, or relating to such meat. (--,)

Since devout Moslems abide by the requirement that foods be halal (just like devout Jews and kosher foods), it makes sense to clearly indicate on packaging so the buyer can be sure it meets requirements imposed by the religion. The Jewish equivalent is also often on many foods.

By the way, this includes any amount of alcohol even when used as a preservative or minor flavoring.

Halal means it is done according to Islamic ritual. With this (actually it's not a trademark, just a mark) mark, muslim can consume or use this product. The opposite of Halal is Haram.

Certified Halal food means that it is fit for consumption according to the Islamic beliefs. Muslims (like most other religions) have norms/traditions according to which animals are to be slaughtered and eaten. Halal essentially defines that process (similar to "kosher" meats I guess).

Any food stamped Hahal therefore means that Muslims can eat it without fear of offending their religious values.

The HALAL mark shows that the food or beverage is safe for consumption by our Islam Brothers and Sisters. This indication assures the consumer that the process and procedures were carefully done in compliance with the practice of Islam.

It signifies the way the animal/food is prepared it is the Muslim version of kosher. Halal meat has the blood drained from the veins in accordance to their slaying techniques as instructed in the Quran.

I don't know..let me try to find the answer for you..

Halal (حلال, ḥalāl, halaal) is an Arabic term meaning "permissible". In the English language it most frequently refers to food that is permissible according to Islamic law. In the Arabic language it refers to anything that is permissible under Islam.

In non-Arabic-speaking countries, the term is most commonly used in the narrower context of just Muslim dietary laws, especially where meat and poultry are concerned, though it can be used for the more general meaning as well. This dichotomy of usage is similar to the Hebrew term "kosher".

that's a message for Muslims, Halal means that the product has been slaughtered the Muslim way and it is not something that is forbidden e.g. pork

it means that such products are safe for consumption by those who follow the Islam faith. In the same way, products marked as such that are manufactured in the philippines can be exported to other islamic countries since they will still be safe for their consumption.
