I agree the money should stay here in the U.S. The president talks about how good our economy is, but it isn't. So many of our citizens have no health care, they work hard sometimes 2 jobs in order to support their families, and still can't afford health care.
It's sad to see the shape our country is in because there isn't enough money being spent on our own citizens.

No, the United States should send foreign aid because people in third world countries have so much less than we do and we have so much. Foreign aid comprises only 1% of the total national budget. If we do not aid others, we will only create more of a disparity that may come back and bite us.

The U.S. creates enemies by giving foreign "aid." Outstanding amounts of money are loaned to developing nations who have almost no chance of repaying the loan. Eventually, the U.S. and its corporations take over the country's economy, and privatize utilities such as water. The so called philanthropic endeavors are nothing more than profit seeking schemes that function to further the imperialistic goals of America.

You could also save yourself some money by not sending bombs and soldiers overseas. That costs far more than the overseas aid. And it's money which produces no return. You could then increase aid overseas, and still be better off. There would not be as many problems, at home or overseas.
